STONES, STRANDS, BROKEN LINES, GHOSTS
Armstrong’s walking practice researches environments using tangible sensorial mappings of place, where she embraces the erasures, marks, and rhythms of both physical experiences as well as the found objects buried within place. She gathers found objects which are employed into her practice. Works made from weather related events whilst in the Hebrides listening to surf and wind run through the beach stones after storms noting beach and land erasures; alternatively watching incoming storms whilst island bound.
